More About Line Dancing
April & I strive to bring you the latest and most upbeat line dances
available. If you're new to line dancing I encourage you to read the
history and evolution of line dancing by
David
Powell. David has really captured the changes around Line
Dancing over the recent years
and why the country image is still the
impression in the public eye even today. Today's younger generations
and the ability to share dances over the internet has brought on the
biggest change I have ever seen in line dancing. We now have some of
the best choreography / music, making line dancing more appealing to
the general public than ever before. Line dancing is for anyone, any
age, single or married and today's line dances are choreographed to
many dance styles, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba and Swing to name a few. If
you're studying ball room dance and don't have a partner on a specific
night this is a change for you to get out and work on your
rise-and-fall during a Waltz, or the Cuban motion to Rumba. YouTube
brings us the ability to visually see and learn dances, you will
notice that most of the dances we teach also include a link to the
video for you reference. Our classes are designed for all
levels, you can start any time just show up with shoes that allow
you to move on the wood floor, sneakers are not a good choice
because they grip the floor and won't allow movement. Don't forget
to bring bottled water and your sense of humor!
I am really excited about the dance selection we picked to kick
off the 2010 season and the large turnout is really motivating. So
if you're a new or experienced line dancer we have something for you,
